Of Sunrises and Birds

One thing I found I enjoy doing is oil painting and then using sharpie to write a verse on it.

This sunrise painting I did awhile ago and posted on my blog then, but just recently added the verse.

On my other blog, Selena's Reflections, I did a post on birds. The pictures I took of them inspired me to paint a nest of eggs, to which I recently added a verse. I love how it is the finishing touch to a simple picture.

Colored Pencils

I can't stand dull tipped pencils. :)

I enjoy working with complementary colors, for example orange and blue, with the object one of the colors and the background the other color.

Ink Doodles

It has been a LONG time since I last posted. This is going to be the first of a couple posts to do an overview of the artwork that has happened since. :)

For a while I was into doodling with pen or thin marker around phrases, words, and letters. I love how it is fun, simple, and relaxing to do while ending up with a good result.
